Commemorate 'Golden Girls Day' on Wednesday, 30th July!
Mark your calendars, "The Golden Girls" fans! This summer is set to be a golden one as the iconic series celebrates its 40th anniversary with a plethora of exciting events and merchandise.
First off, get ready to enjoy new episodes of the beloved show! On July 30, August 19, and September 14, all-new episodes will be released across the show's official social media accounts, giving fans a fresh dose of Dorothy Zbornak, Rose Nylund, Blanche Devereaux, and Sophia Petrillo.
The anniversary celebrations don't stop there. On July 30, you'll also find a variety of themed merchandise and experiences becoming available. Brickcraft will debut a limited-edition "The Golden Girls" brick-building set, while Yogurtland will introduce a limited-edition cheesecake-flavoured yogurt, "Thank You for Being Cheesecake."
Candier is joining in the fun with two limited-edition candles: "I'll get the Cheesecake!" and "Thank You for Being a Friend." Meanwhile, Furbish Studio is launching a limited-edition "Thank You for Being a Friend" pillow.
Fisher-Price has also jumped on board, creating a short-form content series titled "Little People Collector Mini Adventures," reimagining moments from "The Golden Girls" using the Fisher-Price® Little People CollectorTM The Golden Girls: Late Night Cheesecake set.
For those who appreciate a good conversation, Nocking Point Wines will launch a wine assortment celebrating the four friends of "The Golden Girls" starting August 17.
In June, the ATX TV Festival hosted a live script reading of two classic "The Golden Girls" episodes, followed by a discussion about the show's cultural impact. During Disneyland Resort's Pride Night celebration, activities in honor of "The Golden Girls" were held on June 16 and 18.
To top it all off, a one-hour special about "The Golden Girls" will air on ABC News this fall, featuring Susan Harris, Tony Thomas, and other original writers and producers.
