Colorado faces icy roads and extreme cold after winter storm
The Denver metro area saw its strongest winter storm of the season on Wednesday, with some areas receiving nearly a foot of snow. Overnight, wet and slushy roads refroze, creating hazardous travel conditions early on Thursday.
Temperatures will remain dangerously low, particularly in the mountains and along the Front Range. Residents are advised to take precautions against frostbite and avoid early-morning travel if possible.
