Collision in Almaty: Three vehicles meet unfortunate mishap on city roads
A traffic fiasco unfolded today in Almaty's Medau district, with a collision involving three vehicles grindings buses to a standstill on Kunayev Street, our reporter tells us.
Videos of the chaos have made their way online, backed by the city's Police Department's confirmation of the multi-vehicle pile-up.
To shed some light on the incident, the local police service's duty officer reported that, at around 2:20 PM today, a Chevrolet, Ford, and Hyundai clashed in the Medau district. Fortunately, no one was injured, but the reasons behind the crash remain under investigation by the Medau district police.
Earlier in the day, a bus and a trolleybus collided in Almaty, creating more transportation havoc online.
Sadly, another traffic accident claimed lives on April 9, with two deaths and one injury reported on the night in question.
