Collided with a truck in Rosenstein tunnel - Polodriver slams into a wall
On Tuesday morning, a severe road accident occurred at the entrance of the Rosenstein Tunnel in Bad Cannstatt, Stuttgart. The collision involved a 44-year-old truck driver, identified as Matthias Kapaun, and a 24-year-old VW Polo driver, whose identity remains undisclosed.
According to police reports, the incident unfolded around 9:10 AM on the federal road 10, as Mr. Kapaun was traveling towards Pragsattel in his Mercedes Actros. As he shifted lanes before entering the tunnel, he allegedly failed to notice the VW Polo of the young woman on the right lane, causing a collision.
The truck pushed the Polo several meters ahead before it crashed head-on into the tunnel wall. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported, but the damages to both vehicles are estimated to amount to around 40,000 euros.
