Daktronics Brings High-Tech Upgrades to Sports Venues Across the US

In a series of exciting developments, Daktronics, a leading provider of sports video and display solutions, has been busy enhancing the game-day experiences at various sports venues across the United States.

In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, LSU Soccer Stadium is set to receive a new video display as part of an ongoing project. The upgrade will provide a more immersive experience for fans attending soccer matches.

Meanwhile, in Montgomery, Alabama, the Cramton Bowl has refreshed its game-day experience with a new video board. Replacing the previously existing Daktronics display, the new board maintains the same dimensions, offering improved visuals and functionality.

The LSU Tigers are also set to bring a new game-day experience to Tiger Stadium for the 2024 college football season. A total of 16 LED displays, amounting to nearly 21,000 square feet and 19 million pixels, will be installed. Additionally, 11 LED ribbon displays, spanning over 2,350 linear feet, will be mounted to the seating fascia.

McLane Stadium, home to several sports teams, is also undergoing significant changes. Two field-level displays, each measuring 5x30 feet, will be installed. The main video display will measure an impressive 47x107 feet, while the auxiliary display will be 10x49 feet. Two ribbon displays, approximately 3.5x600 feet each, will also be installed.

The new displays at McLane Stadium will not only elevate the fan experience but also provide opportunities for sponsorship and coordinated content during events. The installation will also include the latest version of Daktronics Show Control system.

Daktronics has also been busy upgrading minor league baseball stadiums. Louisville Slugger Field, home to the Louisville Bats, is scheduled to receive a new video board in 2025. The ProStar® video display, measuring approximately 18 feet high by 46 feet wide, will offer improved visuals and functionality.

Truist Field, home to the Charlotte Knights, will see the installation of 10 new LED displays for the 2025 season, including a large outfield video display with 10mm pixel pitch. Momentum Bank Ballpark in Midland, Texas, is also receiving a new 32.4-foot by 66-foot video board, replacing an older screen due to reliability issues.

The Baylor Football games at McLane Stadium will feature seven new LED displays, providing a more engaging experience for fans. Moreover, the new displays can connect with fans as they arrive at the stadium and keep them updated on the timing of events.

Even the locker room and delay of game clocks are being installed at McLane Stadium as part of the upgrade. Every display being installed in this project features a 10mm pixel spacing, ensuring high-resolution visuals.

The new video board at the Cramton Bowl features a 15HD pixel layout and environmental protection to ensure it operates as expected in the outdoor elements. The main end zone video display in LSU's Tiger Stadium will measure more than 5,600 square feet with 5.1 million pixels, providing an immersive experience for football fans.

These upgrades reflect Daktronics’ focus on high-resolution, energy-efficient LED technology and enhanced functionality such as multi-zone content, dynamic advertising, and superior video quality tailored to professional and minor league baseball venues. The Home of the Los Angeles Lakers, Kings, and Sparks has also received a new scoreboard, thanks to Daktronics.

These exciting developments are set to revolutionise the sports viewing experience for fans across the United States, offering improved visuals, functionality, and engagement.
