Collaborative production of timeless musical 'Guys & Dolls' by Lyric Stage and Turtle Creek Chorale

The Dallas arts scene is set to be enlivened by a remarkable collaboration between Lyric Stage, a long-established professional musical theatre company, and Turtle Creek Chorale, an internationally acclaimed male chorus. This union will bring to life Frank Loesser's classic musical, "Guys & Dolls," at Moody Performance Hall from August 15-17, 2025.

This unique production stands out for its integration of the Turtle Creek Chorale's powerful male chorus into the musical theatre setting. The Chorale, with its rich history of over 250 members and 38 albums as the most recorded male chorus globally, will lend their distinctive ensemble sound to the show, creating a musical texture unlike any other.

Lyric Stage, with its three-decade-long mission to develop and preserve musical theatre, and Turtle Creek Chorale's aim to entertain, educate, and inspire by uniting diverse men through song, make this collaboration a significant cultural and artistic event in Dallas.

Sean Baugh, the artistic director and show conductor for "Guys & Dolls," has promised that the production will emphasize the wonderful score and present it in a unique way. Tickets for this eagerly awaited event can be purchased at lyricstage.org.

"Guys & Dolls," based on the writings of Damon Runyon, won five Tonys in 1951, including the award for best musical. A 1955 film adaptation of the show starred Frank Sinatra, Marlon Brando, and Jean Simmons.

The Arts Access initiative, which powers this collaboration, is community-funded and retains full editorial control over its journalism from The News and KERA.
