Collaborative Effort Between Wattenscheid and DSC: Trainer Scouts and Develops Prospects
Wattenscheid/Wanne-Eickel: Luca Pasche Joins DSC Wanne-Eickel on Loan
The left-back, Luca Pasche, who made 12 starts for SG Wattenscheid 09 in the Oberliga last season, will be playing in the Westfalenliga next season as he has been loaned to DSC Wanne-Eickel. This move is part of a close relationship between the two clubs.
Alexander Schlueter, who recently completed his tenure as Wattenscheid's co-trainer, will take over as head coach of DSC Wanne-Eickel come summer. To strengthen for the new Westfalenliga season, Schlueter will also have the services of Devin Droge and Luca Pasche, with the latter being loaned from Wattenscheid.
Pasche's transfer to Wanne-Eickel follows a similar model as Droge's, with the young defender signing a new two-year contract with Wattenscheid, but spending a season on loan with DSC. Ideally, he will return to Wattenscheid after the loan period to further bolster their squad.
Wattenscheid intends to strengthen for the upcoming season, with the arrival of Nils da Costa, who returns to the left-back position following a stint with Erkenschwick. Another player with Oberliga experience is expected to join as well. Due to limited opportunities, Pasche will benefit from playing in a lower league.
Sporting director for Wattenscheid is confident that Pasche will gain valuable playing time during his loan spell at DSC Wanne-Eickel, stating that it is essential for his sports development in his second senior year.
Wattenscheid's season has ended, with the team bound for Mallorca after winning the Kreispokal. Meanwhile, DSC Wanne-Eickel has secured their league stay and will finish the season on Sunday against RSV Meinerzhagen. In the new season, Schlueter will take over as head coach alongside current interim coach, Davide Basile.
Luca Pasche's loan move to DSC Wanne-Eickel is aimed at gaining valuable playing time in European football leagues, furthering his sports development in his second senior year. This transfer model is similar to that of Devin Droge, who is also on loan from Wattenscheid to strengthen DSC Wanne-Eickel's squad for the Westfalenliga season.
