Coldplay and Ed Sheeran light up Germany with intimate 2026 Candlelight concerts

Coldplay and Ed Sheeran will feature in a series of intimate Candlelight concerts across Germany in 2026. The events, set in candlelit venues with a string orchestra, offer a fresh take on their biggest hits. Fans have already reacted with excitement, as tickets sell out quickly in cities like Hanover and Nuremberg.

The first performances will launch on March 21, 2026, in Hanover and Nuremberg. Tickets start at €33.50, making the experience more affordable than traditional stadium shows. The setlist includes orchestral versions of Coldplay's Yellow and Fix You, alongside Ed Sheeran's Shape of You.

Additional dates have been added in Nuremberg, including a special show at the planetarium. Demand remains high, with nearly all €45 seats in Hanover already sold. The series will later expand to ten more German cities: Düsseldorf, Karlsruhe, Berlin, Halle (Saale), Wiesbaden, Braunschweig, Leipzig, Chemnitz, Magdeburg, and Erfurt.

The concerts run from March to October 2026, bringing the Candlelight experience to new audiences. Over three million people worldwide have attended similar events, blending live music with the warmth of candlelight.

The collaboration between Coldplay and Ed Sheeran marks a new chapter for the Candlelight series in Germany. With tickets in high demand and performances planned across multiple cities, the concerts provide an alternative to large-scale tours. More dates may follow as interest continues to grow.
