Clovis braces for more rain and flooding risks this week

Clovis is bracing for another round of cold and wet weather this week. With more rain forecast for Monday and later in the week, the city has taken steps to help residents prepare for possible flooding and storm-related hazards.

Over the weekend, heavy storms caused chaos across the area. Clovis Police dealt with downed trees and multiple accidents as winds and rain swept through. Now, with further rain expected late into Monday and again from Thursday into early Friday, officials are urging caution.

The Central Valley will see further rain in the coming days, with Monday and Thursday into Friday expected to bring the heaviest downpours. Free sandbags remain available, and authorities continue to monitor conditions while asking the public to stay alert and report dangers as they arise.
