Saxony-Anhalt's weather takes a turn for the dreary with clouds and wind dominating the forecast. On Monday, the German Weather Service (DWD) predicts a persistently overcast day, with rain expected to pour heavily in the northern parts of the state. The southwest goes through intervals of clearing, while the Harz Mountains and Burgenland experience gusts of wind, with squalls even hitting the Brocken. Temperatures reach between 10 and 13 degrees, dipping down to between 4 and 7 at night.

Tuesday brings more clouds, and occasional rain might even turn into snow in the Harz's high areas around midday. The rain gives way to clear skies in the afternoon, with temperatures hovering around 7 degrees, and as low as 3 in the Harz. On Wednesday night, it remains extremely cloudy, interspersed with isolated snow showers. The clouds start to break up during the night, bringing temperatures to as low as 0 degrees in the south, and as low as -4 in the Harz's high regions.

As we look ahead into the week, the unsettling weather conditions predicted by the DWD look set to continue. Heavy rain is anticipated to persist in the northern parts of the state, while the southwest experiences intervals of clearness. Wind speeds remain moderate to high, fluctuating according to the location.

The recent reports from weather services reveal more details about the predicted weather:

  • Lutherstadt Eisleben: Predicted to remain around 6 degrees for the next 5 hours, with a slight rise to 7 degrees at 11 AM.
  • Tuesday: Overcast with sprinkles and temperatures around 6 degrees in the morning and 8 degrees in the afternoon, blowing winds at 14 km/h from WSW.
  • Wednesday: Drizzle and overcast conditions, with temperatures around 5 degrees in the morning and 4 degrees in the evening, wind speeds of 31 km/h from SW.

Some more specific locales, like Wernigerode, are also predicted to have varying weather conditions throughout the week, featuring light snow, drizzle, overcast skies, fog, and ice fog. However, there are no significant rainfall predictions in the near future.
