Landshut Youth Book Club Returns After Hiatus with Exciting New Selections

The Landshut Youth Book Club is back and better than ever, following a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The first meeting of the new year will take place on Thursday, January 19, at 5 pm, and registration is now open.

Theresa Verhoven, the director of the youth book club, was appointed by the city council of Landshut to head the Youth Book Club initiative. Interested individuals can register by phone at 0871-71054 or by email.

This year's book selections, presented in person at Pustet Books, range from thrilling action stories to animal adventures, science fiction, and heartwarming fantasy. The themes are sure to captivate readers of all ages.

For the first time, a non-fiction book has been included on the children's list, catering to bookworms aged seven to eleven. The youth selection, on the other hand, is designed for readers aged twelve and above.

The selected books and the selection lists will soon be available on the municipal library's Instagram channel and website. Additionally, the municipal library's website and Instagram channel can provide additional inspiration for gift lists.

The Landshut Youth Book Award 2023 is associated with the youth book club, and the youth book club list serves as the basis for nominations for the award. The participation period for the Landshut Youth Book Award 2023 is the second half of the school year.

Theresa Verhoven can be contacted for questions about the youth book award and the youth book club. Interested teachers can also register for participation in the Landshut Youth Book Award 2023.

Book clubs meet every two weeks at the municipal library on Weilerstraße, and no registration is required for the meetings. The selected books and the selection lists are also available in municipal libraries and local bookstores.

Join the Landshut Youth Book Club today and embark on a literary adventure!
