Clinic of the Franks transformed into a movie location:

The Nürnberg Clinic, specifically its North Campus, has become a hotspot for filming as it serves as a location for the upcoming Franken-Tatort episode titled "Gottesgarten". Around 40 people, including crew members and extras, worked on the shoot, with 15 vehicles ranging from vans to 7.5-ton trucks on site.

One of the clinic employees, 52-year-old Petr Pelikan, made his first foray into the world of film by securing a role in the series. Pelikan played the part of a forensic pathologist in one scene, but detailed information about his experiences on set and specific roles are not widely documented online.

On July 30, 2025, Pelikan underwent makeup, held final discussions with the director, and rehearsed with detective Felix Voss, played by Fabian Hinrichs. For one day, the Institute of Pathology on the North Campus was transformed into a film set.

The autopsy room in the Institute of Pathology served as a backdrop for the forensic medicine scenes in the film. The light in the autopsy room fell softly on the specimen during filming, creating a calm and cool atmosphere. However, this serene setting was disrupted on that particular day as cameras, lighting, and sound equipment were set up around the autopsy table.

In one scene, Pelikan had to discuss the state of the murder victim with Commissioner Voss. Despite the unfamiliar surroundings, Pelikan delivered his lines with confidence, marking a successful debut in the world of film.

Interestingly, Denis Opcin, head of logistics at the Nürnberg Clinic, also took on a small role as an extra in the Franken-Tatort. The trail in the Franken-Tatort "Gottesgarten" leads to the Nürnberg Clinic, specifically the North Campus, and points to a violent crime in the red-light district as the initial investigation.

The broadcast of the Franken-Tatort is planned for 2026, but the exact airdate is still to be determined. Despite the absence of detailed information about Pelikan's film experience, his debut in the series is a testament to the diversity of roles available within the Nürnberg Clinic.
