Claudia and Stefan Effenberg are set to tie the knot for a third wedding.
In a heartwarming turn of events, Claudia and Stefan Effenberg, a well-known couple, have announced their plans for a third wedding ceremony in 2025. This decision comes after Claudia's life-threatening health scare in December 2023, when she underwent emergency surgery for a pulmonary embolism.
The news of their impending nuptials has been met with excitement, as the couple, who have been together since 2002, have already celebrated two weddings—their first in 2004 on Sanibel Island in Florida, and their second renewal of vows in the USA in 2014.
Claudia, who is 59, is taking on the creative aspect of the wedding, designing her own white, princess-style wedding dress for the occasion. Stefan, on the other hand, is responsible for the planning of the event, which is being described as either a "spectacular party" or a "classic wedding."
No specific date or location has been revealed, but the couple has hinted at a possible Italian restaurant as the venue. The upcoming wedding will mark eleven years since their second renewal of vows.
The health scare appears to have strengthened the couple's bond, with Stefan expressing his desire to marry Claudia again to reaffirm their love. Claudia, who collapsed unconscious at her home on December 16, 2023, has since lost 12 kilos following her surgery. She believes her operation on her hip due to a hairline fracture in 2023 could have contributed to her pulmonary embolism.
During her surgery, there was a risk to Claudia's life, and a double thrombosis was diagnosed in her lungs. Despite these challenges, the couple remains optimistic and looks forward to celebrating their love in 2025.
