Catch a Glimpse of Delta Force's History with These Virgin Vintage Photos

Y'all know I'm all about the thrill of military history and the shadowy realm of Special Operations. And let's face it, nothing gets the adrenaline pumping quite like Tier One operators.

Here's a lowdown on the top five Tier One units under JSOC's watch:

  • Delta Force (direct action, kill/capture missions, and hostage rescue)
  • SEAL Team 6 (direct action, kill/capture missions, and hostage rescue)
  • Task Force Orange (intelligence)
  • 24th STS (Air Force CCTs and pararescue often in cahoots with ST6 and The Unit)
  • Regimental Reconnaissance Company (Recon and direct action when needed)

Time-Traveling Delta Force Photos Take the Internet by Storm

When it comes to the upper echelon of Special Mission Units and Tier One jamborees, Delta Force, also known as CAG or The Unit, takes the cake. It's the top-tier direct action and hostage rescue squad out there, and peeping them in action is RARE.

But thanks to the savvy folks over at @socom_archive and @jsoc_archive, we've got some fresh photos surfacing on Instagram from 2004... and they're downright epic! These accounts specialize in sharing historical tidbits about Special Operations Forces.

The photos showcase a few Unit operators and a lone SEAL Team 6 member training with old-school gear and vintages masks. You can catch a glimpse of the badass photos below. Drop me a line at David.Hookstead@our website to share your thoughts.

Just take a gander at those old-school masks, rifles, and pistols... pure coolness! It's a fascinating peek back into history, considering how much the gear has changed in 21 years. You won't see that gear in today's Tier One training sessions, especially those firearms.

Now, the contents of Delta Force's weapon cache remain top-secret, but trust me when I say their arsenal is state-of-the-art and evolving as technology progresses.

In case you're added to Delta Force or SEAL Team 6's "naughty list," I'd suggest a quick run to settle your affairs and prepare your will. History shows these stories don't usually have a happy ending for the bad guys.

One more thing: our operators are lightyears ahead of the competition. The gap between us and the rest of the world's forces is jaw-dropping—and not in a good way for them.

Count your blessings these heroes exist and stand on our side. Share your thoughts with me at David.Hookstead@our website.
