"Classic Action Game 'Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine' to Receive a Refresh"
Coming soon to modern gaming: an updated version of the original "Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine." Developed by SneakyBox, this "Master Crafted Edition" promises a rejuvenated experience, promising a harmonious blend of past and present while maintaining the game's unique charm.
The updated version boasts graphical enhancements, an overhauled UI, and refined controls that cater to new-generation platforms. Notably, the iconic Orks have received a visual upgrade to align with their current appearance in the Warhammer 40,000 franchise. The edition also features over 100 new voice lines.
First released by Relic Entertainment in 2011, the original Space Marine received generally positive feedback from critics. Despite plans for two sequels, the game's publisher, THQ, closed down, leading to the projects' cancellation. Sega later acquired Relic and re-released the game on PC in 2021. Saber Interactive was announced to develop its sequel, which was well-received and has another sequel in development.
Currently, Sega is yet to announce a PlayStation 5 version of the Master Crafted Edition. Gamers can anticipate its release on PC and Xbox Series X|S on June 10, with it also available on Xbox Game Pass on the same day.
