In a series of disturbing events, two separate encounters between security forces and terrorists occurred in India's Jammu and Kashmir and Manipur on Friday, September 19, 2025.

The first encounter took place in the Kishtwar area of Jammu and Kashmir around 8 PM. According to reports, the National Security Guard (NSG) and the Indian Army's Para Special Forces were involved in the counter-terrorism operation. The encounter was part of an intelligence-based operation by the White Knight Corps.

The incident in Kishtwar resulted in the death of two jawans of the Assam Rifles and injuries to five others. The jawans were traveling towards Bishnupur district from Imphal when they were ambushed by a group of armed men. As of the filing of this report, no specific group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

In a separate incident in Manipur's Bishnupur district, another encounter occurred on Friday evening. The details of this incident are still emerging, but it is known that the Assam Rifles personnel were involved.

In Udhampur, an encounter took place at Seoj Dhar and involved joint teams of SOG-JKP and Indian Army. One army jawan was reportedly injured in this encounter, according to a report by PTI. Another encounter in Udhampur was confirmed by officials at 11 PM.

It is important to note that this is not the first such incident in the region. Earlier this month, on September 8, an encounter between terrorists and security personnel in Kulgam resulted in the injury and later death of two Army personnel.

These incidents serve as a grim reminder of the ongoing tensions and threats to peace and security in the region. The authorities are working to gather more information and maintain control of the situations in both Kishtwar and Udhampur.

This article will be updated as more information becomes available.
