Clarksville’s healthcare boom: Two new hospitals coming by 2026

Clarksville, Tennessee, is set to welcome two new hospitals, with Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Ascension Saint Thomas leading the projects. These developments aim to enhance healthcare services in the region by early 2026.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is planning to take full ownership of the 270-bed Tennova-Clarksville hospital, aiming for completion by early 2026. Meanwhile, Ascension Saint Thomas is constructing a 98-acre campus just east of Exit 11, which will house a 44-bed hospital, expandable to 132 beds. The manager of this project is not publicly known.

On the other side of Tiny Town Road, TriStar Health is building a 68-bed hospital, expandable to 224 beds. These new hospitals are expected to bring nearly 500 healthcare jobs to the region. Currently, Christian County has one medical center and emergency room in the city, with military and veteran residents accessing care at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital on Fort Campbell.

The expansion of healthcare facilities in Clarksville, Tennessee, is set to improve access to quality care for both civilian and military residents.
