Clarissa Engels Makes History as First Woman THW State Spokesperson in NRW
Clarissa Engels, a dedicated volunteer from Dortmund, has made history as the first woman nationwide to be elected as the new state spokesperson for the Technical Relief Agency (THW) in North Rhine-Westphalia. She brings a wealth of experience from her role as deputy state spokesperson.
Engels' election reflects the THW's commitment to promoting equal opportunities and women in volunteering. She will join the state spokesperson team alongside Jens Bergemann and the previous deputy, Oliver Schieferstein, forming a trio of spokespersons.
State representative Nicolas Hefner expressed his satisfaction with Engels' election, praising her dedication, competence, and team spirit. Engels herself is honoured by the trust placed in her by the volunteers and recognises the significance of her appointment as the first woman in this nationwide position.
The THW congratulates Clarissa Engels on her new role and wishes the entire state spokesperson team success in representing the volunteers in the North Rhine-Westphalia state association.
