According to Deputy Commissioner of DB Muhammad Talebur Rahman, who spoke to BSS, 22 activists linked to the banned Awami League and its affiliated organizations, including the outlawed Chhatra League, were arrested[1].

The arrests occurred before 11:20pm on August 6, as reported by the DB, with the latest arrest being of an individual named Zafrin, who was already in the custody of DB at the time of filing the report[1]. However, the exact location and time of the arrests, as well as the identities of the other 8 individuals arrested, have not been disclosed.

The meeting in question took place at Bashundhara residential area, the location of which was also not specified in the report. Sumaiya Zafrin, wife of Major Sadique who is currently under military custody, is suspected of being present at this secret meeting[1].
