City Taxi Fares to Rise in 2026 with New Rates and Minimum Rental Fare
Taxi fares in the city are set to rise, with new per-kilometer rates and a minimum fare for carmax services on the horizon. The city council approved the changes on 24.09.2025, aiming to offset increasing costs.
The new taxi rates will be: 1-2 km at 2.80 EUR, 3-4 km at 2.70 EUR, and 5 km and above at 2.50 EUR. These rates will increase by 0.10 EUR across the board. The base taxi fare will remain 4.40 EUR.
In 2026, carmax services will introduce a minimum fare, approximately seven percent below the taxi fare. This change will come into effect alongside the new taxi rates.
