City scrutinizes potential fraudulent voting ballots in Elsässer Strasse electoral district

In the heart of Munster, an incident has arisen during the recent city polls. The issue in question involves incorrect ballot papers that were issued at voting station 131, located on Elsaesser Street, which belongs to ward 13 (Dueseberg).

Eighteen voters inadvertently used ballot papers intended for a different ward during the election process. As a result, the outcome of the city polls at voting station 131 remains uncertain, as the number of valid votes cast and the identity of the correct ballot papers issued are not known.

The city of Munster's election committee will convene on Thursday, September 18, to assess the incident and decide on the appropriate course of action. It remains unclear how the committee will approach the assessment, or if any legal action will be taken as a result of the incident.

It is worth noting that the election of the Lord Mayor or Lady Mayor of the city of Munster, the Integration Council, and the Central District Council are not affected by this issue. These elections proceeded smoothly, without any reported incidents of incorrect ballot papers.

The responsible authority commissioned to evaluate the consequences of the issuance of incorrect ballot papers for the city council district at voting station 131 has not yet been identified. Further information regarding this matter is expected to be released in due course.

The city of Munster's election committee and the responsible authority are working diligently to ensure a fair and accurate election process, and to rectify any errors that may have occurred during the city polls at voting station 131. Updates on this matter will be provided as they become available.
