City Council Members Criticize City of Krasnoyarsk Over Tramway Concession Failure
In the city council of Krasnoyarsk, it's soused that the city hall inked a failed tramway concession deal with "Movista" disregarding the warnings of deputies, according to Semen Senderskiy, the head of the LDPR faction. This info came out.
Krasnoyarsk's mayor, Vladislav Logynov, had spoken before the council about their work in 2024, and a question about the current concession status was posed. Logynov replied that the administration was preparing to terminate the contract due to non-compliance with the conditions.
"Deputies from the previous term were against this agreement, but you signed it alone," reminded Logynov by Senderskiy.
Senderskiy stressed that the city is now left grappling with the repercussions of this decision: money and time were squandered, and the development of the tramway system, notably in the direction of Solnechny, has stalled.
Logynov acknowledged that Movista had failed to meet their obligations. He pointed out that the city had provided all the necessary conditions, but the company had botched their strategy. The city authorities, however, never explained why they disregarded the deputies and still went ahead with the agreement.
Now, the concession agreement is being attempted to be annulled in court. The city administration, nevertheless, persists in developing trams and plans to run tracks across the Shinniy Bridge.
Deputies, meanwhile, emphasize that Solnechny's transport future is now in doubt. Additionally, they are curious as to who will bear the responsibility for the collapsed concession - some deputies believe this to be the mayor's fault for ignoring the warnings.

In contrast to the mayor's previous speech about the city's plans for 2024, the city hall's concession deal with Movista is under question amidst allegations of disregarding warnings from deputies. The failed tramway concession, reported by Semen Senderskiy, has created a strong policy-and-legislation debate in Krasnoyarsk politics.
The agreement has led to significant issues, as the city grapples with wasted money, wasted time, and stalled development of the tramway system, particularly in the Solnechny direction. The mayor, Vladislav Logynov, admits Movista's failure to meet obligations, pointing to the company's botched strategy as the cause.
However, the city administration has yet to explain why they disregarded the deputies' warnings and still proceeded with the agreement. In an attempt to rectify the situation, the concession agreement is being annulled in court.
Despite this, the city administration still persists in developing trams and plans to run tracks across the Shinniy Bridge. The deprivation of means of transport in Solnechny leaves its future uncertain, and some deputies are questioning who will bear responsibility for the collapsed concession, with some laying blame on the mayor's ignoring of warnings.
