The next day, on March 27 in Philadelphia, a 70-year-old homeowner shot and killed a man who broke into his home at around 1:30 a.m. The identity of the intruder has not been revealed, and the Philadelphia police investigation into the incident is ongoing. The police believe the incident to be an attempted burglary and a case of lawful self-defense.
On March 28 in Los Banos, CA, armed intruders forced their way into a home. The homeowner and the suspects exchanged gunfire, leaving two suspects with gunshot wounds. Some of the suspects fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. The identities of the suspects have not been disclosed, and the investigation into the incident remains open.
