"Years to Rebuild": CIA Backs Trump's Claim on Iran's Nuclear Program
CIA backs Trump's account on nuclear program development
Chillin' with the CIA, they reckon the U.S. airstrikes on Iran did some real damage to Tehran's nuclear program. CIA Director John Ratcliffe shared this intel, stating that rebuilding the keydestroyed facilities would take good ol' fashioned years.
According to Ratcliffe, this assessment comes from a dependable source that's proven to be spot-on in the past. The spies at the CIA are still analyzing the aftermath of the attacks, but so far, it looks like Tehran's nuclear program took a serious beating.
Now, US Intelligence Coordinator Tulsi Gabbard seems to agree, suggesting that rebuilding facilities at Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan will take years, just like Ratcliffe said. Neither of them has shared what kind of new information led to this conclusion, but they do support Trump's claim of total destruction. They're calling it a "death blow" to Iran's nuclear program.
But not everyone's onboard with this doomsday scenario. A report from the military’s DIA estimated that Iran's nuclear program was only set back by a couple of months. The White House dismissed the release of this top-secret assessment by the media, calling it bogus.
Trump, however, isn't buying it. He calls the media fake news and claims the strikes were a "total wipeout." US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine was a bit more measured, stating there was "significant damage and destruction" at the nuclear facilities, which included some serious bunker-busting bombs.
Remember when Israel started a war against Iran a couple of weeks back? They went after Iran's nuclear program and ballistic missile development with some heavy air strikes. A ceasefire's been in place since then, and Iran maintains that its nuclear program's all about peaceful purposes, not nuclear weapons.
