Church St. Georg Hosts 'Voices Meet Winds' Concert
On Sunday, 5th October, at 5 pm, the church St. Georg will host a joint concert by the symphonic wind orchestra Lippe-Bläsers and the show choir Schapp-O-klaX. Entry is free, and the theme of the concert is 'Voices meet Winds'.
The show choir Schapp-O-klaX, established in 1991 by Susanna Pathmanathan, will perform a diverse range of songs, including gospel, a cappella, pop, and international literature. With around 20 singers, they bring a rich history and varied repertoire to the stage.
The orchestra Lippe-Bläsers, in existence for three years, comprises around 35 musicians from different generations. Their program spans classical music to lively melodies, including a first-time performance of 'Starlight Express'.
The concert, approximately 90 minutes long, will culminate in a joint performance of 'Thank you for the Music' by the choir and orchestra. Both groups look forward to sharing their musical talents with the audience.
