In the third show of "Let's Dance" on RTL, emotions ran high as some performers struggled to deliver their best dance moves. Star attraction Simone Thomalla, for example, faced crushing disappointment and tears during her Quickstep performance to "Things" by Nancy Sinatra & Dean Martin with partner Evgeny Vinokurov.

Thomalla's Quickstep was met with scathing criticism from the jury, with Jorge González stating that her "dancing around" was her "knockout" and withheld a generous score of 5 points. Notably, Thomalla did not wallow in self-pity and told the audience, "I won't complain," emphasizing her eagerness to learn and improve.

However, the high bar set by other contestants made it difficult for some to keep up. Fabian Hambüchen demonstrated his prowess in Show 3, earning accolades for his captivating Slow Waltz performance alongside partner Anastasia Maruster. Llambi was overcome with praise, calling him the "first favorite" and remarking on his "decent footwork" and "elegance."

Sandra Riegert, affectionately known as "Selfie-Sandra," showcased an enviable confidence during her sensual Rumba performance. Despite her insecurities and self-deprecating comments, the jury bestowed praise upon her "beautiful lines" and "sensuality."

Jeanette Biedermann faced a setback during her Contemporary routine, when she and partner Vadim Garbuzov faltered and lost balance. However, the jury took a positive view of her "delicate" and "tender" performance, complimenting her "good expression" and "energy."

Christine Neubauer proved to be the standout performer of the night, dazzling the audience with her electrifying Charleston routine. Her amazing performance earned her the first 10 score of the season and the adoration of the jury. Llambi aptly declared, "You rocked the house, you put all the young people in your pocket."

Diego Pooth showed great improvement with his explosive Paso Doble, displaying a fierce and captivating battle between matador and bull. Pooth shared a heartfelt moment, acknowledging his transformation from a "normal life" three weeks ago to his current role on "Let's Dance."

Entertainers like Taliso Engel and Marc Eggers held their ground, earning decent scores and showcasing their skills. The night ended on a somber note for Massimo, who was unable to perform his favorite dance due to his dance partner's illness.

The stage was invaded by none other than the enigmatic Stefan Raab, who attempted to steal the show with his mediocre disco fox routine. Vicky thankfully stepped in to prevent Raab from escaping his obligatory dance, much to the amusement of the audience.

The powerful stuntwoman Marie Mouroum Motsi delivered an unforgettable Wiener Walzer performance, leaving the audience enthralled. Unfortunately, fan favourite Leyla was eliminated from the competition, while stalwart Massimo remained hopeful for his comeback in the coming weeks.

You can catch up on all the excitement and performances on RTL+'s stream, making it easy to enjoy the magic of "Let's Dance" again and again.
