German High Jumper Christina Honsel Qualifies for World Athletics Championships Finals

Christina Honsel, a member of TV Wattenscheid 01, has qualified for the high jump finals at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo. The women's high jump finals are scheduled for Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 12:30 PM German time.

Honsel cleared a height of 1.92 meters during the qualification round, securing her place among the top 12 jumpers in the competition. Eleven other competitors also managed to clear this height, setting the stage for an exciting finals.

"I'm glad to have made it through the qualification round," Honsel said. "I originally aimed for 1.95 meters, but I'm satisfied with my performance under the challenging weather conditions."

"I'm looking forward to the high jump finals on Sunday," Honsel said. "I'm among the top 12 jumpers, and I'm ready to give it my all."
