Chloe Dygert gears up for the World Championships while simultaneously focusing on improving and assisting Niewiadoma-Phinney at the Tour de France Femmes.

Chloe Dygert, the American cyclist, had a mixed experience during the Tour de France Femmes. Despite her long-term plans taking a backseat during the race, she used it as a valuable learning experience.

In the stage 4 sprint finish in Poitiers, Dygert focused her efforts on the race's final moments. However, she regretted not staying on the barriers during the sprint, which cost her a potentially better position. As a result, Dygert finished fifth in the sprint, a position that was not part of the original plan.

Dygert was led out by her teammate, Soraya Paladin, in the sprint. Initially, she planned to sprint with Aga Skalniak-Sójka, but Skalniak-Sójka was not feeling well, forcing Dygert to adjust her strategy.

Throughout the race, Dygert did a lot of work and teammate tasks at the beginning of the stage. She appreciates the team atmosphere and considers her teammates important for her performance.

One teammate Dygert praised was defending champion Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney. Dygert stated that her role is to support Niewiadoma-Phinney and ensure her safety. Despite not serving as a domestique for Niewiadoma-Phinney in the 2022 Tour de France Femmes, Dygert appreciates Niewiadoma-Phinney's leadership and considers her a great friend and teammate.

Dygert is using the Tour de France Femmes as training for the UCI Road World Championships in Rwanda in September. The World Championships is a significant goal for Dygert, and she reiterated that her role is to support Niewiadoma-Phinney and ensure her safety, with the World Championships being her own main focus.

In conclusion, while Dygert had a fifth-place finish in the sprint during the Tour de France Femmes, she is using the race as a stepping stone towards her main goal: the UCI Road World Championships in Rwanda. With her strong performance and team spirit, Dygert is set to make a mark in the cycling world.

Road cycling serves as an essential training ground for Chloe Dygert as she prepares for the UCI Road World Championships in sports. During the Tour de France Femmes, she showcased her dedication to the sport and her team, learning valuable lessons even when results were not as expected.
