Chita’s water crisis deepens after four emergency shutdowns in one day
Chita's wastewater system experienced four emergency shutdowns on November 5, leading to water supply disruptions in various areas. Prosecutors are now examining the cause of a water main rupture in a residential building.
The affected locations included 9A Baranskogo Street, 6 Pribrezhnaya Street, 44 Lineynaya Street, and 9B Promyshlennaya Street. An emergency cutoff also occurred at 9 Krupskaya Street, leaving residents without cold water.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the water main rupture in a residential building. Prosecutors have initiated an inspection following the incident. It is still unclear which authority is conducting the investigation.
