Chinese contestant on "Interview" sang duet with Vitas
The International Song Contest "Intervision-2025" is set to take place soon, with representatives from 23 countries competing for a crystal cup and a prize of 30 million rubles. Among the participants is the collaboration between Chinese artist Wang Qi and Russian artist Vitaly Grachev, also known as Vityas.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this collaboration had to take place remotely. The musicians were unable to meet in person, and instead had to adapt their process to work from afar. TASS reported on the collaboration between Wang Qi and Vitaly Grachev, and the details about the show's location, live broadcast, and participating countries can be found in the "Gazeta.Ru" article.
The international music event "Intervision 2025" took place on September 20, 2025, at the Live Arena in Novoivanovskoye near Moscow, Russia. Besides the Russian representative Shaman, other artists participating came from countries like Vietnam (winner Đức Phúc), Kyrgyzstan, Qatar, Belarus (Olga Shlyager), Brazil (Cacá Machado), Kazakhstan (Zhanat Mukanov), Egypt (Mohsen Sayed Ahmed Issa), Ethiopia (Sultan Nuri), the UAE, South Africa, China, India, and more. The contest featured a diverse range of countries mainly from BRICS, CIS, Latin American, and Middle Eastern states.
This collaboration between Wang Qi and Vitaly Grachev was not the first time that "Intervision" and "Eurovision" had discussed the possibility of collaboration, as previously discussed by Dima Bilan. During their collaboration, Wang Qi sang with Vitaly Grachev, and their remote work was affected by the sanitary restrictions related to the pandemic.
In addition to the USA changing their artist just three days before the performance, the International Song Contest "Intervision-2025" promises to be an exciting event for music lovers around the world. Stay tuned for more updates on this year's contest!
