China’s EV Charging Network Grows 54% in One Year, Hits 18.6 Million Points

China's electric vehicle charging network has expanded rapidly over the past year. New figures show the country now hosts 18.645 million charging points, serving a growing fleet of green vehicles. This surge reflects a 54% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

Private charging points dominate the market, with 14.112 million installed—a rise of 59.4% from last year. Meanwhile, public charging infrastructure has also grown, reaching 4.533 million points, up by 39.5%.

The latest data highlights China's accelerating shift towards electric transport. With charging infrastructure expanding faster than the number of vehicles, the country is reinforcing its position as a leader in EV adoption. The trend suggests continued investment in both private and public charging solutions.
