Essential for AAM's success are safety frameworks, public confidence, and 'roads in the sky'. Infrastructure on the ground and in the sky, such as vertiports and charging systems, is necessary for operation. Atlanta's runway orientation could facilitate the integration of vertical takeoff and landing operations.

Real-time simulations and AI are being developed to prepare aircraft for real-world conditions and improve certification processes. However, the U.S. and Europe face more stringent certification requirements, which may slow deployment but potentially ensure stronger safety standards.

AAM, with its promise of efficient and eco-friendly urban transportation, is poised to transform communities. While challenges remain, including safety frameworks and infrastructure development, early adopters like Chinese cities are setting the pace. The U.S. and Europe, with their stringent safety standards, are also actively pursuing this innovative technology.
