China and Russia's Foreign Ministers reinforce their strong bond following their encounter
The ongoing conflict in Ukraine continues to garner global attention, with various nations offering support in various forms. Recent meetings between Chinese and Russian foreign ministers have been a topic of interest, although no specific updates regarding a recent meeting in July 2025 were found. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced plans to shift the war onto Russian territory, while Ukraine is planning new long-range attacks in response to recent Russian advances. However, according to Zelenskyy, the recent Russian advances have failed due to "active defense."
The city of Sumy experienced a power outage due to a Russian drone attack on critical infrastructure the day before. A Russian drone attack near the village of Stetschkiwka in Sumy region has resulted in the death of a 57-year-old civilian and the injury of another. Governor Oleh Hryhorow has urged the population to avoid travel near the border due to continued Russian attacks on civilian vehicles.
