The Erft-Kurier-Bambini-EM tournament, an annual event in the Erft region, is set to provide young football enthusiasts with their first taste of competitive football. This year, the VfR Büttgen team, a local youth squad, is ready to take on the challenge.

The VfR Büttgen team, under the guidance of coach Marc Richter, is made up of 32 energetic and enthusiastic children, both boys and girls. The team's training sessions are marked by diligence and joy, as they prepare for the tournament at the district sports facility on Aldegundisstraße in Kaarst every Tuesday and Friday from 5 to 6:30 pm.

The team is currently practicing the 'Funino' game format in the league, a decision that has shown significant development in the children's skills in recent months. The team's success is made possible through the support of sponsors like Demirbas GmbH, a local company that actively supports youth sports and community initiatives.

As the tournament approaches, the excitement is palpable. Marc Richter, a member of the VfR Buttgen children's football team, expresses his enthusiasm for the upcoming tournament. The team, known for their battle cry of "V f R" followed by "Büttgen" repeated three times, is eager to perform well and represent themselves in the tournament.

The Erft-Kurier-Bambini-EM tournament is scheduled for June 8th. Team Büttgen 1 is expected to participate in group matches, with the top teams progressing to the semi-finals and finals.
