Young Motorist (11) Wrecks Skoda on Highway

Leipzig - The aftermath of a chaotic scene has left a Skoda in shambles along the side of the A14 Leipzig-Nord exit. The lone driver, an adolescent, lost control of the vehicle and sent it skidding off the highway, rolling multiple times before landing in a ditch.

The pre-teen was attempting to make the Leipzig-Nord exit around 10:45 am. According to authorities, the young driver accidentally veered off course.

The car had skidded across the field at the exit ramp, overturning several times before finally jumping the barrier and landing in a ditch opposite the highway

The Unfortunate Event

The child driver appeared to have lost control, narrowly missing a nearby sign before skidding onto the grassy area next to the exit ramp. In a harrowing turn of events, the Skoda launched over the crash barrier and landed diagonally across the opposite driveway, stopping just short of impact with that highway.

The young driver was rushed to the hospital after suffering severe injuries. The ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident and how the child ended up in the driver's seat remains a priority for local authorities.
