Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht Faces Legal Woes in Austria and Germany
Actor Jimi Blue Ochsenknecht, known for his appearances on the Sat.1 show "Villa der Versuchung," is currently embroiled in legal troubles in both Austria and Germany.
In Austria, Ochsenknecht is facing serious fraud charges for an unpaid hotel bill amounting to approximately 14,000 euros from late 2021. He was arrested at Hamburg Airport upon arrival at the end of June, extradited to Austria nearly two weeks later, and subsequently released on bail of 15,000 euros. Ochsenknecht has pledged to remain in Austria for the proceedings and has deposited his passport with the court.
The Austrian public prosecutor's office accuses Ochsenknecht of aggravated fraud. The trial date has not yet been set, and until the trial, he is not allowed to leave Austria.
In addition to this legal issue in Austria, Ochsenknecht is under investigation in Germany for allegedly advertising illegal gambling in 2023 via Instagram posts promoting unlicensed platforms. The Hannover public prosecutor has reopened this investigation following his recent arrest. He also faces allegations in Germany for not paying a smaller fuel bill of about 116 euros. Potential penalties could include fines or up to one year imprisonment if convicted.
