Cher’s £13M Netflix deal reveals untold stories of fame and survival

Cher is reportedly in advanced talks with Netflix to produce a seven-part series about her life and career. The show, titled Sharing Her Story, could premiere as early as 2026. Industry sources claim the deal is worth around £13 million (approximately $17 million).

The series will explore the highs and lows of Cher’s decades-long career, including her turbulent personal life. In her memoir, she revealed details about her marriage to Sonny Bono, alleging he once 'manhandled' her and that she had 'seriously thought about' killing him. Just four days after her divorce from Bono was finalised in 1975, she married Gregg Allman, with whom she had a son, Elijah Blue.

If finalised, Sharing Her Story would mark one of Netflix’s most high-profile biographical series. The £13 million deal reflects Cher’s enduring influence in music and entertainment. The show is expected to cover her career milestones alongside deeply personal revelations.
