Bruce Willis Continues to Cherish Relationship with Granddaughter Louetta
Rumer Willis, 36, and Derek Richard Thomas, the father of her two-year-old daughter Louetta, parted ways last year. In August 2024, Rumer revealed on Instagram that she is now a single mother, managing co-parenting responsibilities. It seems Rumer is receiving support from her family, particularly her famous grandparents. In a recent interview with People magazine, Rumer praised both her mother, Demi Moore, 62, and her dad, Bruce Willis, 70, for being wonderful grandparents. Despite his dementia diagnosis, Bruce continues to show affection towards his granddaughter.
According to Rumer, Louetta refers to Demi as "Yaya." Though Demi disregarded Rumer's wishes by showing Lou the animated adventure "Vaiana," their bond remains strong. "They love each other," Rumer stated, "You should see how Louetta lights up during FaceTime calls when we're not around." She described her mother as "incredible with babies" and the interactions between them as a source of joy.
Rumer shared that Bruce's affection for Louetta persists, despite the challenges he faces. "He lights up and gets so excited every time we visit," she said. The family, which includes Rumer's siblings, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 31, Bruce's wife Emma Heming-Willis, 46, and his ex-wife Demi Moore, regularly update the public on Bruce's condition.
In an Instagram post in March 2025, Emma wrote, "Today marks 16 years of the love of our lives... Through it all, we've built something timeless." The family has two daughters together, Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11.
