Chelsea emerges victorious in the European Cup final

**In a landmark achievement for European football, Chelsea FC cemented its place in history by securing victory in the UEFA Conference League final against Real Betis. The match, played in Wroclaw, Poland, concluded with a resounding 4-1 defeat of the Spanish side. This triumph marks a historic first for the club, as Chelsea is now the only team to have won all major UEFA club competitions.

The Blue's previous triumphs include the Champions League (2012 and 2021), Europa League (2013 and 2019), the now-defunct European Cup Winners' Cup (1971 and 1998), and the UEFA Super Cup (1998 and 2021).

Sevilla started the game strongly, taking an early lead through Abde Ezzalzouli in the 9th minute. The Andalusian team continued to dominate much of the game, yet Chelsea showed improvement after the break. Enzo Fernández (65'), Nicolas Jackson (70'), Jadon Sancho (83', previously with Dortmund), and Moises Caicedo (90.+1) contributed to the winning effort for Chelsea.

The victory in Polish Wroclaw brought an end to an impressive streak for Spanish football. It marked the first time since the 2001/02 season that a final involving a Spanish team in the Champions League, Europa League, or Conference League did not result in a Spanish victory.

Prior to the match, clashes between English and Spanish fans occurred in the streets of Wroclaw. Authorities deployed stun grenades and water cannons to control the unrest in the city's market square. Over 20 arrests were made, and isolated incidents of violence were reported during the week leading up to the final.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk expressed his disapproval of the violence, stating, "Zero tolerance for violence on our streets!" He commended the police for their prompt action against troublemakers in Chelsea and Real Betis jerseys in Wroclaw, promising that further action would be taken if necessary.

The triumph of Chelsea FC in the UEFA Conference League final against Real Betis solidifies their dominance in European football, as they are now the only team to have won every major UEFA club competition, including the Champions League and Europa League. This historic victory marked the end of an impressive streak for Spanish football, as it was the first final since the 2001/02 season that did not involve a Spanish team in the Champions League, Europa League, or Conference League.
