Check Your Voter Registration Status: Over 1 Million Texas Voters Removed from Rolls

Heads Up, Texans! 🔔

It's time to ensure your voice is heard on Election Day. In 2024, Texas removed over a million voters, equivalent to Montana's population, from its rolls. Don't be one of them due to a simple clerical error. Around 600,000 names were dropped due to bad address information, and 6,500 were due to lack of response to a Notice of Examination.

Check if you're still registered quicker than scrolling through social media feeds. Simply click HERE to verify your status. If you find yourself dropped, the deadline to re-register is October 7th, and you can do so by mail or in person. Texas doesn't offer online registration, except when renewing a driver's license online.

Wondering why you've been dropped? People were removed for various reasons, but the majority were due to address concerns or failing to respond to the Notice of Examination. If your voter card was returned as undeliverable, you landed on the Suspend List. If any mail was returned undelivered or you filled out a forwarding address form, you ended up on the suspense list. If you stayed on the suspense list for at least two federal general elections, you were dropped from the rolls. If you received a Notice of Examination and didn't respond to questions about your citizenship status, criminal background, age, or court ruling on your mental capacity to vote, you were dropped.

No time to waste? Register now! You can fill out an application online, visit your local Harris County Public Library, call, email, send a request by mail, or pick up a form at various government offices. For more details on how to request a form, check the registering section.
