Chart-topper "Golden" from the 'Kpop Demon Hunters' soundtrack maintains its position at the top of the British Official chart for an impressive 7th week.
In the world of music, the animated film 'Kpop Demon Hunters' has been making waves, particularly on the British Official Singles Chart Top 100. The soundtrack, brimming with catchy tunes, has been a consistent presence on the chart, with 'Golden' leading the charge.
'Golden,' sung by Korean American artists Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, who portray the fictional girl group Huntr/x in the film, has topped the British chart for the seventh time. The song debuted on the chart at No. 93 and reached No. 1 for the first time on Aug. 1. Since then, it has held the No. 1 position for six consecutive weeks, including this week.
Another track from the soundtrack, 'Soda Pop,' ranked third on the chart, while 'Your Idol' came in fifth. Interestingly, an alternate version of 'Takedown,' sung by Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung of K-pop girl group TWICE, ranked 24th on the chart. However, no other songs from the soundtrack were mentioned as reaching the top 10 or top 20 on the British Official Singles Chart Top 100.
Before 'Golden' claimed the top spot, 'Man I Need' by Olivia Dean held the position. After reaching No. 1, 'Golden' slipped to No. 2 before reclaiming the top spot. As of Friday, 'Golden' held on to the No. 1 spot on the chart.
The success of 'Kpop Demon Hunters' on the British charts is not limited to 'Golden.' As of now, the song is the only one from the soundtrack to have reached the No. 1 spot on the British Official Singles Chart Top 100. However, the soundtrack has been on the chart for a total of seven weeks, with 'Golden' leading the way.
The animated film 'Kpop Demon Hunters' has been breaking records since its release. As of June 20, it has officially become the most-watched title in Netflix's history, across both films and TV series. Furthermore, 'Golden' has topped the US Billboard's Hot 100 main singles chart for five weeks.
As the world continues to enjoy the music from 'Kpop Demon Hunters,' it's clear that the soundtrack is more than just a complement to the animation—it's a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
