Charlotte Devaney's All-Female Hologram Session Celebrates Female Talent and Pushes Boundaries

Platinum-selling DJ Charlotte Devaney's Hologram Sessions Series, a unique blend of music and technology, has made waves in the electronic music scene. The series, which first debuted during the lockdown of 2020, has been instrumental in revitalizing interest in classic rave culture while pushing the boundaries of performance art.

One standout event within the series is an all-female showcase dedicated to Leke, founder of the Junglist Movement, a pivotal figure in electronic music culture. This particular event, which took place on Sunday, Feb 12, marked the first time Charlotte had an all-female cast on Hologram duties. The session featured MCs Y-Zer, Enamie, and Iffy, and aimed to make proud those who have laid the path for female artists.

Leke, who is currently suffering from a rare tumor and has had his leg amputated, was honored by this all-female lineup. The session was a powerful move to showcase the new wave of female artists and set a precedent for inclusivity and innovation in live music formats.

Charlotte, who has been passionate about supporting female artists since she first entered the scene as a young dancer in 2001, expressed joy during the shooting of the session. She considers it a massive honor to be a part of this groundbreaking event.

The Hologram Sessions have amassed over 5 million views across platforms, and the all-female session was no exception. Charlotte, who hosted the first all-female Hologram Session, hopes to continue showcasing female MC talent in future sessions.

In a nod to Leke's legacy, Charlotte wore one of his infamous Junglist Movement t-shirts during the session. The t-shirt can be purchased here, with proceeds going towards Leke's medical expenses. Charlotte has always admired Leke's relentless passion and hard work for his brand and the culture.

The all-female Valentine's takeover at Brixton Bass on Feb 18 promises to continue Charlotte's commitment to promoting female artists. With the Hologram Sessions Series, Charlotte is not only preserving electronic music culture but also pushing it forward, one hologram at a time.
