Get ready, Portugal! Charli XCX, who's in sizzling shape and just slayed her Barcelona show, is about to rock Porto. José Barreiro, director of Primavera Sound Porto 2025, spilled the beans to Lusa that the Grammy-winning artist is primed to make her Portuguese debut at the event. The anticipation is palpable, and if you ain't got your tickets yet, they're still available—although they might not last forever!

José revealed that around 35k people are expected each day of Primavera, with a whopping 140k folks flocking to the city between June 12th and 15th. Foreigners make up a significant portion of festival-goers, with over 100 countries purchasing tickets. Approximately 70% of attendees will be Portuguese, while 30% are international folks, with roughly 15-20k foreigners in total. The top five nationalities are the UK, Spain, Italy, Germany, and the US.

While José hinted at a dry festival, be mindful that a smidgen of rain might fall on Thursday night. Fear not, though—sheltered areas have been set up for shenanigans, and attention has been paid to access points and rainwater systems to minimize any inconvenience rain could cause. Fret not about accommodating the 35k people, as doubling the crowd would turn Primavera into a pavilion extravaganza, losing its open-air charm.

Primavera Sound Porto 2025 is introducing a new main stage, dubbed the Porto Stage, and the structural reinforcements promise to handle massive amounts of people. In case you're not a fan of rock and roll, Sunday afternoon's all about electronic tunes on the Revolut Stage, lasting until 11:00 PM.

José foresees continued support from Porto City Council for the event, so the 2026 dates should be announced by the end of this year's festival. Besides Charli XCX's performance on Thursday, expect groups like Fontaines D.C., Caribou, Anohni and the Johnsons, The Dare, The Jesus Lizard, Surma, Tuilpa Ruiz, and Angélica Garcia to hit the stage.

The lineup boasts a dazzling array of genres—pop, rock, metal, electronic—ensuring there's something for everyone. Other artists joining the festivities on the remaining days include Jamie xx, Deftones, Garota Não, Michael Kiwanuka, Turnstile, Wet Leg, Haim, Parcels, TV On The Radio, Kim Deal (Sonic Youth), Squid, Capitão Fausto, among many others. The Primavera Beach House will rock out with Deftones, Michael Kiwanuka, Garota Não, and more.
