Charity project Covenant unveils new musical offering titled 'Andreas EP' through Dependent Records.

On October 17, 2025, Swedish pop act Covenant will release the "Andreas EP" via Dependent Records, marking their first release in nearly a decade. This EP is a poignant tribute to their former member, Andreas Catjar-Danielsson, who passed away from cancer in July 2024.

The "Andreas EP" is a commemorative release, with all proceeds going to support Andreas' widow and children. The label Dependent Records has confirmed that they will waive their share of profits to maximise the charitable contribution.

This EP features five experimental future pop tracks, including two cover songs: "A Rider on a White Horse" by Lee Hazlewood and "Winter Kills" by Yazoo. The latter track is now available as an advance single and can be streamed or downloaded from Bandcamp. Erica Li Lundqvist lends her vocals to "A Rider on a White Horse", while Andriana Seecker contributes to "Winter Kills".

The recordings for the "Andreas EP" were co-produced and mixed by Andreas Catjar-Danielsson and Covenant's Eskil Simonsson, with mastering by Vincent Uhlig in Germany. Eskil Simonsson is responsible for vocals and electronics in Covenant, and Joakim Montelius contributes to electronics.

The "Andreas EP" serves as a heartfelt tribute to a beloved former band member and a means of providing financial support to his family after his passing. The EP will be available as a limited edition black vinyl and through digital platforms, underscoring Covenant's commitment to honouring Andreas' legacy within the future pop music community.
