Charity organization Covenant unveils new EP titled 'Andreas' to be distributed by Dependent Records
The Swedish future pop band Covenant is set to release their new EP, "Andreas," on October 17, 2025, via Dependent Records. This release is a poignant tribute to their former member, Andreas Catjar-Danielsson, who passed away from cancer on July 29, 2024.
The EP features five experimental tracks, including two covers: "A Rider on a White Horse" (originally by Lee Hazlewood) and "Winter Kills" (originally by Yazoo). The latter has already been released as a single ahead of the EP.
The recordings were completed by Andreas Catjar-Danielsson and Eskil Simonsson, with mixing by the same duo and mastering done by Vincent Uhlig in Germany. Guest vocalists include Erica Li Lundqvist and Andriana Seecker.
Dependent Records has confirmed that all proceeds from the release—including those from the vinyl edition—will go directly to support Andreas Catjar-Danielsson’s widow and children. Additionally, Dependent Records will waive all their profits from the vinyl release to maximize the charitable contribution.
This release marks Covenant’s first in nearly ten years, and it stands as a significant milestone in their musical journey. The "Andreas EP" is available for pre-order and can be streamed or downloaded from Bandcamp.
