Charity Ice Hockey Match for Wounded Personnel in Rankings
On June 4th, an exciting ice hockey match is scheduled to take place at Cologne Arena 2, Gummersbacher Straße. The event, which aims to support injured emergency services personnel in Ratingen, will see the Cologne Fire Department and Police teams face off against each other.
For those who wish to attend the game in person, the live broadcast area can accommodate between 800 to 1000 people. However, it's important to note that access will be regulated by the Cologne Police, and media representatives who plan to attend should notify the press office at [email protected] by Friday afternoon (4 pm).
The event will start at 3 pm, and several dignitaries will be available for interviews and photos. These include Interior Minister Reul, Police President Falk Schnabel, County Commissioner Thomas Hendele, City Director Andrea Blome, Police Mettmann's department head Thomas Schulte, and Ratingen Fire Chief René Schubert.
Before the game, both teams will have a training session at Kölnarena 2 on June 2nd, and team coaches and Fire Chief Dr. Miller will be available for media interviews around 9:45 AM after the training.
For those who cannot make it to the arena, the game can be watched on mobile phones or PCs at https://www.sporttotal.tv/ma76e40587. In case more people come, a live broadcast will also be available in the garage hall of Fire Station 10 on the opposite side of the street.
The Social Welfare of the Cologne Police e.V. will donate 100 euros for every puck, regardless of which goal it lands in. The proceeds from the event will be donated to the Verein zur Förderung des Feuerschutzes in Ratingen e.V. and the Police Foundation David + Goliath, with the total amount raised to be announced after the game.
Free parking is available on the gravel parking lot at Walter-Pauli-Ring (opposite the police headquarters), with an approximate 2-minute walk to Cologne Arena 2. For those who wish to contribute financially, bank details are provided below:

Before the game starts, the Police Trade Union, Cologne branch, has already pledged a donation of 1000 euros. As the number of spectators in Cologne Arena 2 will be limited to 500 seats and approximately 100 standing places, it's advised to secure your spot early. Once the areas provided for spectators are filled, no further access will be possible.
