Charity Ice Hockey Event for Aiding Injured Military Personnel, As Per Poll-K Report on May 24, 2023

The city of Cologne is gearing up for a special event as the Cologne Fire Department's team, Backdraft Cologne, and the Cologne Police's team, Bull Sharks Cologne, face off in a charity ice hockey game on June 4th. The match, scheduled to start at 3:30 PM, will take place at Cologne Arena 2, Gummersbach Street.

This game is a heartfelt response to the traumatic experiences of the injured in Ratingen on May 11th. Both teams hope for a full house, and the event is open to the public, with no admission tickets required. Instead, spectators are asked to make donations at the entrance, with all funds going towards supporting the Association for the Promotion of Fire Protection in Ratingen e.V. and the Police Foundation David + Goliath.

The Cologne Police's social welfare association has pledged to donate 100 euros for every puck scored during the game. The total donation amount will be announced after the game.

Notable attendees include Police President Falk Schnabel and Mayor Andrea Blome, who will be available for interviews at 3 PM. Both officials expressed their hope that the game will express humanity, respect, and appreciation for those who risk their health for others.
