The 4th Annual Stewart & Hanrahan Golf Invitational, held at the Fort Collins Country Club on June 30, has made a significant impact on single mothers in Larimer County. This year's event raised an impressive $58,000 for WomenGive, a United Way of Larimer County program that supports childcare scholarships for single mothers.

The tournament, initiated by co-founders John Hanrahan, Connie Hanrahan, and Scott Stewart, was created as a fusion of their love for golf and their shared commitment to the community. The event featured 18 holes of golf, on-course games, and contests such as a long putt challenge, closest-to-the-pin, and a betting hole.

Local businesses and organizations, including Ace Hardware of Fort Collins, Bank of Colorado, Scheels, Ginger and Baker, High Country Beverage, Union Bank & Trust, Wilbur's Total Beverage, and many others, contributed to the event. Colorado State University volleyball players even volunteered as ambassadors for WomenGive.

The funds raised through the golf tournament have been allocated to childcare scholarships, reducing a major barrier for single mothers in Larimer County. This financial support is crucial for their employment, education, and economic stability. Since its inception, the tournament has generated over $100,000 for WomenGive.

Connie Hanrahan, a charter member of WomenGive and the owner of Mantooth Company, has been a dedicated supporter of WomenGive since its inception. John Hanrahan, a retired PGA professional who served as head golf professional at Fort Collins Country Club, also lends his support to the cause.

Scott Stewart, a Colorado native and a longtime mortgage professional who works with Bank of Colorado, shares the same passion for the cause. The event concluded with a dinner, awards ceremony, and silent auction.

The 4th Annual Stewart & Hanrahan Golf Invitational plays a vital role in providing financial resources that facilitate childcare access, ultimately promoting economic and personal stability for single mothers in the region. The event's ongoing success reflects the strong local commitment to empowering single mothers through WomenGive's mission.
