A controversial online fundraiser, originally aiming for $50k, has raked in an astonishing $675k, targeting a White woman from Minnesota who was caught on video hurling racial slurs at a child of Somali heritage.

The financial support flooded in despite the woman's admittance in the viral clip. Anonymous donors and users with questionable handles marked the contributions, with some even suggesting Nazi symbolism. Among thedonations came aliases like "White Unity Will Unite," "Black excellence fatigue," "Aunt Jemima," "Whitestandstrong," and "White rise." Removed comments and the commenting function later indicated efforts to curb the toxic influx.

Commenting on the page, donor "WhiteTexasMommy" furiously ranted, "These young generations of whites are sick of the bullying, intimidation, and being made to shut up about race issues." Revealing his distaste, "Heywildrich" criticized racial equality, stating, "They call us racist because we are white. Nothing will ever make them happy."

According to Jacob Wells, co-founder of GiveSendGo, the platform on which the fundraiser resides, the comments were banned due to the abundant racist and derogatory remarks. Wells assured that the funds will be delivered to the intended recipient, reiterating unwavering opposition to divisive and discriminatory commentary.

The platform prohibits campaigns for abortions, gender reassignment surgery, illegal activities, and impersonations, as well as those targeting people or organizations. The fundraising page seems to belong to a person sharing the same name as the woman in the video, who allegedly hurled slurs at a child in a park on April 28, 2025 in Rochester, Minnesota.

NBC News has not confirmed the woman's identity or her connection to the fundraising page, and attempts to reach her have been unsuccessful. Heather Wilson, a co-founder of GiveSendGo, informed NBC News that the fundraiser is still undergoing verification, with no funds being disbursed until the process is complete.

Meanwhile, the Rochester branch of the NAACP has organized a fundraiser to support the child's family, taking advantage of the incident to raise $341,484. Their statement, in which they announced the fundraiser closure, emphasized unity, dignity, justice, and love.

On May 4, 2025, the Rochester Police Department concluded their investigation into the altercation, submitting findings to the city attorney's office for review. As of Sharmake Omar's verification, the video showing the woman using racial slurs went viral on social media platforms last week, sparking outrage and widespread condemnation.

The instigator of the incident, as yet unidentified, is facing substantial backlash, with donors rallying in support and expressing their disdain for racial tolerance.
