The AGEM & AGA Golf Classic, which was created with the purpose of supporting the ICRG's research into the prevention and treatment of gambling disorder, has been sponsored by various entities since its inception in 1999. The primary sponsors include the American Gaming Association (AGA), the Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers (AGEM), and JCM Global, with additional support from Aristocrat Gaming, Catapult Global, Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), GGB Magazine, ICE Barcelona 2026, IGT, Indian Gaming Trade Show & Convention 2022, Konami, Light & Wonder, Patriot Gaming, Red Wagon Institute, and Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation.

The 2022 edition of the AGEM & AGA Golf Classic had broad representation from various sectors of the gaming industry. JCM Global's SVP - Sales, Marketing & Operations, Dave Kubajak, expressed his gratitude towards the companies and organisations supporting the tournament, stating that it's an honor for JCM to produce the Golf Classic.

The funds raised from the AGEM & AGA Golf Classic will contribute to informing legislators, regulators, and the media about responsible gaming. ICRG President Michael Soll expressed his gratitude towards the participants and sponsors for their continued support, stating that the funds will be used to support ICRG's research and education efforts.

Over the history of the AGEM & AGA Golf Classic, the total amount raised has surpassed $3 million.
